LYRA (AERIAL HOOP)

In Lyra classes you will learn poses and moves on and above the aerial hoop. As you become more advanced, you will learn to spin the apparatus as you execute skills and poses.

*Please wear clothing that covers the backs of the knees and torso for all aerial classes, other than pole.

Lyra also called Aerial Hoop Classes are offered at Vertical Pole Studio in Navarre Beach, Florida.

LYRA BASICS

After completing your Teaser Class or Welcome Private Lesson, this is the Lyra class for you.  In this class you will start with a thorough warm up, learn basic skills and various techniques to enter and exit from the hoop along with conditioning, strength and flexibility exercises. *We recommend that you take this class 6-8 times or have instructor approval to take Level 1 beginner classes.

LYRA LEVEL 1 (Beginner)

Build strength, increase flexibility and learn to flip, turn, roll, pose, and transition between positions. Classes begin with a warm up and conditioning and then move into choreographed combinations. *This class requires that you have mastered Lyra Basics.

LYRA LEVEL 2 (Intermediate)

Classes begin with a warm up and conditioning and them moves into choreographed combinations. Students will build on the basic skills acquired in beginner lyra and will add focus on fluidity, spins, transitions and flexibility. *This class requires that you have mastered Lyra 1

LYRA LEVEL 3 (Advanced)

Classes begin with a warm up and conditioning and then moves into tricks, drops & choreographed combinations. Students will build on the skills acquired in beginner & intermediate lyra and continue to focus on fluidity, transitions & build stamina. *This class requires that you have mastered Lyra 2.

MIXED LEVEL LYRA 1-3

This Lyra class is open to students beginner to advanced, students will be challenged at a level appropriate to their ability.
